Basic Requirements
1. Foreign citizens, no criminal record, aged 18 or above, in good health condition in accordance with the Health Standard for International Students stipulated by China’s Ministry of Education.
2.Good moral character, obey the laws and regulations of China and the university, and respect Chinese customs.
3. Good academic performance, proficient in English or Chinese.
4. Have obtained due degree certificates.
Academic Background
1.For Non-degree Program and Bachelor’s Program, applicants must provide a high school diploma or above;
2.For Master’s Program, applicants must have obtained bachelor degree or above;
3.For Doctoral Program, applicants must have obtained master degree or above.
Language Skills (for degree program applicants)
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Programs: HSK certificate of level 4 with a score of 180 or above for Chinese-taught Bachelor’s programs and HSK certificate of level 5 with a score of 180 or above for Chinese-taught Master’s programs; for English-taught programs, IELTS5.5/TOEFL60 or above are required, or the students should pass the English test organized by CZU upon arriving. Native English speakers are exempt from any English tests.
2. Doctoral Degree Program: HSK certificate level 5 with a score of 180 or above for Chinese taught programs; for English-taught programs, IELTS6.0/TOEFL80 or above are required or the students should pass the English test organized by CZU upon arriving. Native English speakers are exempt from any English tests.

Bachelor | 1. Foreign citizens under the age of 24 (Applicants under the age of 18 are required valid documents of legal guardian in China). 2. Prospective degree recipients shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate stating the expected graduation date and submit the diploma certificate to CZU as soon as possible. 5. A minimum of 5000USD or equivalent Bank Deposit. 10. Other supporting documents if available, such as certificates of awards and training. |
Master | 1. Foreign citizens under the age of 28. 2. Scanned copy of passport first page, valid for at least 12 months. 3. Scanned copy of the Chinese Visa page, if available. 4. Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcript. Prospective degree recipients shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate stating the expected graduation date and submit the degree certificate to CZU as soon as graduation. 5. One copy of language proficiency certificate 6. Research proposal in Chinese or English(at least 1500 words) 7. Two references letters by professors/associate professors 8. Four 2-inch passport size photos. 9. Certificate of Non-criminal Record. 10. Foreigner Physical Examination Form. 11. Other supporting documents if available, such as certificates of awards and training. |
Doctoral | 1. Foreign citizens under the age of 35. 2. Scanned copy of passport first page, valid for at least 12 months. 3. Scanned copy of the Chinese Visa page (if available). 4. Master’s degree certificate and transcript. Prospective degree recipients shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate stating the expected graduation date and submit the degree certificate to CZU as soon as graduation. 5. Scientific research materials during Master period. 6. One copy of language proficiency certificate: 7. Research proposal in Chinese or English(at least 2000 words) 8. Two reference letters by professors/associate professors 9. Four 2-inch passport size photos. 10. Certificate of Non-criminal Record. 11. Foreigner Physical Examination Form. 12. Other supporting documents if available, such as certificates of awards and training. |
Application Process
1. International students could submit their application through online system: http://cczu.at0086.cn/stuapplication/login.aspx.
2. The application documents will be checked by Changzhou University.
3. Changzhou University shall post admission materials (admission notice, JW202 form, etc.).
4. International students could apply for a study-visa in Chinese Embassy with admission materials and get prepared to leave for China and Changzhou University.
