Changzhou University organizes teachers to attend Jiangsu Provincial Seminar on the Construction of Excellent Courses for International Students

On November 28, under the guidance of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, hosted by the Foreign Students Education Research Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Association, and undertaken by China Pharmaceutical University, the Jiangsu Provincial Seminar on the Construction of Excellent Courses for International Students was held online. The International Office organized 13 teachers and teaching administrators related to the international student programs to attend the meeting.

The participants listened to the reports delivered by Cheng Aimin, vice chairman of the Foreign Students Education Management Branch of the China Higher Education Society, and by Xu Jian, the vice president of the School of Overseas Education of Southeast University. The report analyzes the the necessity and future development  of brand course construction and online teaching, predict the direction of the construction of online high-quality courses. Under the theme of the new ecology of international student education, construction of high-quality courses,  and the development and sharing of curriculum resources, there builds up three  sub-forum for discussion and opinions exchange. Wang Ning, deputy director of the International Office and vice dean of the School of Overseas Education, serves as the moderator in the teaching management sub-forum, and made a summary speech to report the results of the sub-forum discussion.  After the meeting, the teachers point out that the meeting provides new ideas and new methods for the teaching of international students under the background of the normalization of the epidemic, and also clarified the way forward for the teaching of international students.

Organizing relevant teachers from various schools to participate in the seminar is an important step to improve the training quality of international students, and the university will continue to conduct reform of international students’ education, giving full play to the role of schools in teaching, strengthening teaching management, and creating a brand of Study Abroad Changzhou University.
