Work Flow for international students to apply master’s degree and doctoral degree goes as follows:
International postgraduates, completing the courses and training tasks required in training programme for masters, obtaining required credits, completing the degree dissertation, and obtaining specific number of qualified academic achievements which is corresponding to the major (detailed requirements will be governed separately), are allowed to submit the dissertation for consideration and approval.
The following documents shall be submitted in review and consideration process:
Degree dissertation (two copies for candidates of master’s degree, three copies for candidates of doctor’s degree), published academic papers (one original version and one photocopy), registration form for academic degree conferring, and two copies of application form for academic degree.
Offices of each school shall evaluate whether the degree candidates are qualified to submit the dissertation for review and consideration, take charge of submitting master’s degree dissertations for consideration and approval, and submit the list of qualified degree candidates to graduate school as required for approval and record. The graduate school takes charge of submitting doctor’s degree dissertations for consideration and approval.
The academic degree evaluation sub-committee of the university shall decide whether or not to accept the application of academic degree, take charge of organizing the defense of degree dissertation, and evaluate the composition and structure of the defense committee.
The application materials of those who have successfully defended their degree dissertations shall be submitted to the academic degrees evaluation committee for consideration and approval.
Candidates for academic degrees with the following conditions shall not be approved to apply academic degrees or take part in dissertation defense:
Unable to complete the training program, or unable to obtain required credits.
International students who have failed twice in one retaking course required for academic degrees.
Unable to complete all the compulsory parts.
Unable to obtain required amount of qualified academic results for corresponding majors.
Candidates whose degree dissertations are disapproved after review and consideration.
International students who are severely defective in the aspects of political thoughts, moral trait, observance of law and discipline, life style, and so on.
